Question by Shoujo: myspace “last name” for my chemical romance?
hey ya all, i want to invite my chemical romance as a friend on myspace, but i dont know what to put as a “last name” i tried everything! from “mcr” or “mychemialromance” “theblackparade” everything! Please help me… the same goes for my other bands as well… like Keane or The Killers or Kaiser Chiefs even James Blunt! (shouldn’t we put “Blunt” as the last name?) is there some special code for the “last name” part ? Help would be very much appreciated. Thank ya!

i’m uploading a song onto my music profile and it says “file blocked! copyright asserted.”

what does that mean?

and i would just delete the song but the delete link isn’t clickable on the song.

It Means That You Must Of Stollen/Taken The Song From Its Original Place And Because You Did That It Wont Work You Wont Hear Anything.

Question by J.D.S.: Problem with viewing “MySpace” profiles.?
I find it strange, some of my friends’ profiles couldn’t be viewed as a whole. Why is it that some “MySpace” profiles haven’t a horizontal scrollbar so that I could view the page side to side?
Sometimes I couldn’t (for example) view their comments because it’s “off screen.” I could view one side (such as “General Interests,” “Music” and “Heroes”) but having no horizontal scrollbar I couldn’t view the “About Me” and “Top Friends” etc…
Stretching the size of the screen only does little to help.

it could have to do with theyre code ut what u can try doin is minimizing the screen and maybe that would give u a horizontal scroll bar
oh and if you wanted to view theyre comments because you cant see that side of the page
at the top in the link copy the “friend id number” and goto your comments and replace youre number with your number. that goes with friends and blogs too.

Question by JJ: Do people still introduce bands to people through mix tapes or CDs anymore?
Or do people just use myspace?

Tapes are great, pretty much indestructible, can be re-used over and over again and cheap, do you guys ever say “I heard this new band, here have a listen”, and when they find something they tape over it and give it back?

Or the same with CDs, but you can’t give it back obviously.

Its a shame nowadays when somebody says “check out tis band on myspace”, its pretty lame.

I don’t think every myspace band sucks, I just think its kinda lame, why go out and meet people and find bands, when you can simply stay home and find us?
I know people don’t want tones of publicity, but if you want me and my friends to show up to your gig when you come through, why are you trying to talk to me through myspace?

As for CDs, why would I want the CD back?, you cant re-use it, one a CD has songs on it, they are there for good, so how can I get your findings without using another CD?

Why are the songs on your computer?, don’t people buy and actually use CDs anymore either?

ima little confused… are you asking if people still use cd’s and mix tapes today? the answer would be yes. and why can’t you give the cd back? you just upload it to your computer and give it back. and with your myspace comment i don’t see how thats relevant; its still a way to find new bands. unless your saying every myspace band sucks.

i can’t go the “myspace website”. what’s wrong? whenever i tried myspace web, the google main page appeared. i tried “myspace” log in, music, friends, videos..etc. to no avail. sometimes, it states that i’m using invalid ip to enter myspace mobile, but i’m using this ip for years. i have also tried myspace url with same result. thanks you for your help.

It depends on a number of things, including what format the song was in, whether or not the file was corrupted, or whether or not you’re uploading original music that YOU composed as opposed to copyrighted music that is not allowed on Myspace.

If it is your original song that you recorded, I would recommend changing the file format, especially if it’s an obscure one like AVI or something.
